Marilyn Monroe has long been considered to be the sexiest woman in the world, both then and even today. However a childhood spent bouncing between foster homes, a series of failed relationships and marriages, and the infamous affair with a President that may or may not have led to her untimely death in 1962 at the tender age of thirty-six is proof positive that fame and infinite beauty do not automatically bring happiness.
And yet, almost fifty years later, she remains for most of us the epitome of what it means to be beautiful and sex personified.
One can only hope that she was able to finally find the peace and self-acceptance that so eluded her in life.
